To be selected as a peer mentor, you will be required to have and to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Additional requirements include the following:
• Being enrolled as a full-time student at UL Lafayette for two consecutive semesters,
• Submitting an unofficial transcript with your application,
• Committing one year to the Cajun Connection,
• Committing one semester to UNIV 100,
• Attending the training sessions and all Cajun Connection events,
• Having an active university email account and be willing to correspond with student through that email,
• Being motivated to help first-year students' transition into the college setting and life.
After completing this application you will be contacted by a Lead Peer Mentor you will be contacted by a Lead Mentor and they will schedule an appointment with you for an individual interview.
